Your Wedding Day

Your wedding is photographed in a Documentary Style with some traditional elements in a way that it is unobtrusive, creating pictures that tell a story of the day with a very natural and relaxed look. The story begins right from the start of the day with the bride getting ready capturing the excitement and emotion all the way through to the late evening, ensuring that the fun and memories are never forgotten. From our experience of getting married and looking back at the images captured from our special day we were so glad we had someone capturing everything we missed, which is what we will do for you. We are your eyes for the day providing you with high quality coverage and memories that will last a lifetime.

A complimentary pre-wedding consultation is included, this allows us to allow us to get to know each other before the big day and to help you plan your day in more detail, ensuring you get the best possible set of images. This will be done in the form of a face to face meeting or via Skype and you are able to keep in regular contact to ensure that your day goes as smoothly as possible.

How your day is covered

Your wedding is photographered in a Reportage Style with some of the traditional elements in a way that is unobtrusive, creating images that tell a story of the day with a very natural and relaxed look

The consultation is normally done 1-2 months before the day itself. This involves either sitting down with you face to face or via Skype and discussing the day ensuring that we have captured all of your requirements. As every wedding is different it is hard to give some generic guidance but I normally run from the one thing that never changes which is the ceremony itself. If you have any questions regarding this at any point or advice on times to allow you can contact us any time to ask.

The pre-wedding shoot normally takes place 3-6 months before the day itself. This is an ideal opportunity for Chris and yourself to get to know each other with a camera firstly so that you are comfortable with how we will be working on the day and secondly for us to know what will make you more relaxed. This normally is done in London or surrounding area and can take between 1-2 hours of which you get 15 images to keep. The location can be either the venue or somewhere that is special to you both or happy to make suggestions.

The day normally starts about 3 hours before the ceremony itself. Getting to where the Bride is staying before the day actually starts in earnest. I like to capture the emotions of before, during and after the getting ready all the way through to the moment you leave to go to the ceremony.

The second photographer will start the day with the guys, capturing their story of the morning from them getting ready through to arrival at the church and capturing the your guests arriving.

When the bride arrives some of my favourite shots are the moment before the Bride and her father walk into the church and either the second or myself will take a moment to capture those. From then on I work primarily from the front of the church capturing the ceremony as it unfolds. The emotions of the Bride & Groom themselves, parents and guests to the signing of the register all part of the days story

This is where we capture both the Group shots and the formal couple shots. Depending on where the ceremony is we will discuss where you would like the group shots. This can be done at either the Church if there is room or at the venue. What we do suggest is these are kept to around 10 shots where possible. The formal shots of the bride and the groom take about 30 minutes and is also a good chance for you to talk to each other properly for the first time since saying I will. This is used to create the natural images of you spending the first quality time alone with each other

Normally as guests arrive at the venue from the church or move from where the ceremony is there is time to mingle before the wedding breakfast. This is where images are capture of your guests interacting with each other, family members who have not seen each other for a long time and other friends that have made the journey to share your special day sharing jokes and laughter. We capture these images in a way that is unobtrusive to ensure that those emotions are natural caught at that moment.

The one part of the day that is not captured… until the speeches! Capturing the speeches is another favourite part of the day recording both the couples and guests reactions as the traditional best man speech is read can lead to some memorable images.

The final part of the day, which includes the traditional cake cutting and the first dance then onto the party. Capturing your guests and yourself enjoying the evening celebrations and depending on weather a few more formal portraits as the sun goes down on the day to complete the story.
