Like many couples, it was very likely that you put a lot of thought , effort and consideration into choosing me as a photographer to capture beautiful images of your special day. Therefore, it is important to make sure that your images are displayed beautifully and are protected from wear and tear for many years to come.
If you are looking at various ways you can display and store your magical photos, then here are some great reasons you should consider having a wedding album.
Preserve your most special memories
Although its difficult to consider that you could forget some special moments, the certainty is that some memories will fade over time whilst others will remain. While you will likely remember the butterflies and nerves that you felt during your wedding ceremony, you will also forget those little moments that made your wedding special. With a wedding album, you can remember precious events such as hug of congratulations from a family member or the little touches, such as silk flowers and decorations that you picked or even made many months before.
Start a family heirloom
Wedding albums serve as a great way to record family’s history. By creating a wedding album, you will be contributing to your family history which can be passed down from generation to generation.
Technology changes quickly
If you have recorded your wedding, the chance is that those DVD’s, CD’s and even USB’s will become obsolete in years to come. Whilst there may be ways to transfer your files to new hardware, the sad truth is that many never get round to it. Having a tangible item like a wedding album means that your memories will never get lost, no matter how much things may change in technology.
Wedding albums can be as unique as you are
A wedding album can showcase your personal style and document your day like no other way. This is not only reflected in the photographs but also in how your album is styled and designed. Everything tells a story about you and your day in the most effective way so you are able to share the joy and share forever.
The design process
A few weeks after your wedding, you may be keen to have a wedding album to show off, so I will start to design your wedding album with the images I think make the best story of the day. I will then consult with you about the images and make any necessary amendments. I will also present to you the types of materials and colours you can choose from. To give you an idea of what my wedding albums look like, below are a number of albums I have designed for past clients….
I honestly believe the best way to preserve and enjoy your wedding photos is through a album. Something you can pick up during anniversaries, when you are feeing nostalgic or to show to your children and grand children. Also having lots of framed images can take up a lot of space in your house and cost more money, and you may not necessarily want lots of wedding photos throughout your house so an album provides a great alternative option.
I try to make the design process as simple as possible- saving you a lot of time. Essentially, you choose your favourite photos and I will do the rest.
